Playing with Knives

When senior citizens, Harvey and Muriel, get mugged in a New York alley, they give their unsuspecting mugger, Tony, more than he’s bargained for.






Elevator

Ten-minute play (comedy) performed at the Mendocino College New Plays Festival, May 2008.

When Amy and Rob are stuck in an elevator with a divorce attorney, a marriage and family therapist, a forty-something divorcee, and a blonde bimbo, their marital woes become an open book and EVERYONE has an opinion on the subject! Will the attorney get a new client? Will the therapist save Amy and Rob’s marriage? What do the middle-aged divorcee and the blonde bimbo have in common? And what the hell is the belly-button thing? Find out in this fun comedy about betrayal, forgiveness and the art of seduction.






The Future of IPLA

A ten-minute play comedy co-written with Paul Kubin for the Ukiah Players Theatre 24-hour play festival, June 23, 2007. Playwrights had 12 hours to write a script based on a randomly selected theme—“Travel.”

It’s time to elect a new President for the International Polka Lovers Association (IPLA). The American incumbent, Havel, wants to take the association in a progressive new direction with the electric guitar replacing the more traditional accordian. Vlasta, the Bohemian challenger, wishes to maintain Polka’s traditional roots, and has travelled to America for IPLA’s Presidential debate.

Three couples attend a pre-natal birthing class and get a lesson in childbirth they’ll never forget.
